Krejci's Double Up to Win WMT's Pike/Round Chain Event

The Wisconsin Muskie Tour™ (WMT) “MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER”™ qualifier, on the Pike/Round Lake Chain Saturday, June 27th concluded with an impressive double by the brother team of Ken and Keith Krejci. There would be twelve muskies registered for the single day tournament.

The first muskie to be registered during the day would be from the team of Brian Kastner and Brian Emmerich when they scored on an early fish at 7:30am that measured 36.75 inches. Chad Bowman and Jason Beahm tallied a hefty 41.25 inch muskie at 9:37am that would give the duo the lead. At 12:05pm, Garth Mueller and Cory Apfelbeck would score on a 37.25” muskie. Shortly after, Bill Hill and Neil Barnett at 12:08pm would land a 38.75 inch muskie. The only team to measure two muskies would be Keith and Ken Krejci whit a 41.75 incher at 1:42pm and a 40.25” muskie that would give the team the first place victory.

Other teams to score on muskies during the WMT’s Pike/Round Lake Chain “MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER™” were: John Kastner & Scott Gagliano 36.75” at 9:44am, Mark Lijewski & Clay Schroeder 34.25” at 10:17am, Brad Biscobing & Tim Siekert 36.50” at 10:23am, Kraig Kolka & Andy Mann 37.75” at 10:54am, Doug VanDervest & Karl Hornung 35.25” at 3:54pm and Mark Gillich & Joey Rozanski 35.50” at 3:56pm.

The WMT’s Pike/Round Lake Chain “MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER”™ tournament top five finishers were:
1st - Ken & Keith Krejci
2nd - Chad Bowen/Jason Beahm
3rd - Neil Barnett/Bill Hill
4th - Garth Mueller/Jason Apfelbeck
5th - Brian Emmerich/Brian Kastner

The next tournaments for the WMT are “MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER”™ events on the Boom Lake Chain and the Sand/Dam Lake Chain in August 15th and 16th. There are still some spots open for each tourney. If you would like to fish the Boom Lake Chain tournament, you can sign up for the tourney on Friday, August 14th at the Dog House Bar and Grill on HWY 47 just north of County Highway K between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Registration for the Sand/Dam Lake Chain event will be on Saturday, August 15th at Pit Lik’s Sand Beach Resort from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
