Moser and Warkoczewski Win WMT's Butternut Event

The Wisconsin Muskie Tour™ (WMT) hosted the sixth "MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER"™ qualifier for the 2010 tournament season on Sunday the 6th of June on Butternut Lake. There would be 14 muskies registered for the one day event.

It wouldn't take long for the first muskie to be registered for the contest, by 6:10am the team of Tony Warkoczewski and Marty Moser would tally a 38.50 incher on their first cast of the morning The lead would change hands early when at 6:23am, Brian Babcock and Brice Peters scored on a dandy 42 incher. However, the leader board would change again with the tournament's first double at 6:45am when Bob Hart and Pete Kolzow measured their second fish of 35.50 inches to add to their very early catch of 35 inches at 6:13am. Early doubles would be the trend for the day as Warkoczewski and Moser would recapture the lead, this time for good, with a 42" muskie of their own at 7:28am. The third and final double of the day would be landed by the team of Brian Kastner and Brian Emmerich when they registered muskies of 34.75 inches at 7:43am and 34.50 inches at 9:44am. The team of Jason Baratka and Jason Weik started out day with more than a tournament victory in mind, Baratka and Weik had won the previous day's tournament and they were looking to capture the $20,000.00 "MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER"™ bonus, however their quest fell just short when they were unable to add to their tournament fish of 39.75 inches but it was enough to secure a fifth place finish..
