Krejci's Win WMT's Lake Mohawksin Tournament

The Wisconsin Muskie Tour™ (WMT) hosted the seventh "MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER"™ qualifier for the 2010 tournament season on Saturday the 14th of August on Lake Mohawksin. There would be eight muskies registered for the one day event.

Although the day didn't produce a lot of fish, big muskies would be landed by the tournament anglers and several other big muskies would escape capture to make it a frustrating day for others. It took nearly an hour before the first muskie would be tallied by Brian Krelle and Tim Miller at 6:59am, the duo would measure a 42.75 inch muskie long for the first muskie to be registered for the contest. Capturing the big fish of the tilt would be the brothers team of Ken and Keith Krejci when they scored on a very hefty 49.25" muskie at 8:50am and the eventually winner. At 9:40am brothers Ron and Ryan Meyer would measure and impressive 47 incher of their own. Jason Baratka and Jason Weik would land fifth place when the two put a 36 inch muskie "on the board" at 11:34am. The final muskie of the contest and the eventual third place finisher, came at 1:34pm and 44.75 inches by Tom Busch and Mike Wells.

Other anglers to score muskies during the WMT's Lake Mohawksin "MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER"™ were: Gerry and Sawyer Frantz 35.25" at 7:43am, Gary Tutaj and Doug Dollhopf 34" at 8:00am, and Steve and Mike Schneider 35.75" at 11:43am.

The WMT's Lake Mohawksin "MUSKIE DOUBLE HEADER"™ top five finishers were:

1st - Ken & Keith Krejci
2nd - Ron & Ryan Meyer
3rd - Tom Busch/Mike Wells
4th - Brian Krelle/Tim Miller
5th - Jason Baratka/Jason Weik

The next tournament for the WMT is a "MAJOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP"™ qualifier on the Manitowish Chain of Lakes on the weekend of August 21st and 22nd. There are still some spots open for the tournament. The Manitowish Chain "R.A.M.M. Cup Open Championship"™ is open to the public. If you would like to fish the Manitowish event, you can sign up for the tourney on Friday, August 20th at the Little Bohemia Restaurant on HWY 51 in Manitowish Waters, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
