Muskie Grand Slam™ - SUSPENDED

The Muskie Grand Slam™ is just as its title suggest. There are four parts or legs, to the Muskie Grand Slam™. If a team should capture the Muskie Grand Slam™, they would be earning a bonus of $100,000.00 in cash and prizes at the 2009 WMT Invitational Championship™. Included in the award is a ten year paid WMT tour exemption and a ten year exemption to the highly coveted WMT Invitational Championship™. Future earnings in ten year’s time could potentially reach over $4,700.00.00. For a two-day (Open Championship™) to qualify for one of the four legs of the Muskie Grand Slam™ must have at least two thirds full field or one hundred teams compete. For a one-day (Double Header™) tournament to qualify as a leg of the Muskie Grand Slam™, must have at least two thirds full field or fifty teams compete in the event.

To win the Muskie Grand Slam™, a team must complete the following four legs, all in the same season.

A. The team must win a one day WMT qualifying tournament.
B. The team must win a two day WMT qualifying tournament.
C. The team must win the Lapp Trophy for the team of the year.
D. The team must win the WMT’s Invitational Championship™.

The payment of the 2009 Muskie Grand Slam™ is based on a WMT season of sixteen events per year and paid out over a period of ten years. If the WMT should decrease the amount of tournaments during the ten year exemption period when a team wins the Muskie Grand Slam™, the winning team will not be owed the cash equivalent of the tournament(s) missed. If in a case the WMT should be insolvent, the WMT will not be responsible for any further payments to a team who wins the Muskie Grand Slam™ that might be remaining. If the WMT should increase the amount of tournaments for a season to its previous high level of twenty one events, the winners of the Muskie Grand Slam™ will receive a paid exemption for all of the events.
